Frequently asked Questions
1. Will having veneers harm my teeth?
No, the type of veneers we use utilize the most conservative approach. This is a pain-free approach,
in which most cases shots are not needed.
2. How long does teeth whitening take and does it cause sensitivity?
Our in-office system can lighten teeth 6-7 shades in a 1/2 hour or up to 10 shades in an hour. Our take-home
systems can take up to 2 weeks for the similar results. We use products that are designed to minimize sensitivity.
In most cases, patients do not have sensitivity.
3. When should my child be seen by a dentist?
The American Dental Association recommends children be seen by a dentist by their 1st birthday.
Our office is trained to see children at this age.
4. How often should my teeth be cleaned?
In most cases, we recommend cleanings every 6 months with exams yearly. Prevention with cleaning and
maintenance is the most affordable dentistry.
5. Do you use silver/Amalgam fillings for cavities?
For most cases, tooth colored fillings or porcelain in-lays or on-lays can be used instead of silver/Amalgam fillings.
