Dr. Mike Nehl, DDS

A 1984 graduate of the University of Nebraska Dental College. I started my career by associating with Dr. Carl Moore in July 1984. We moved to our present location in 1988. I have always stated that when I quit learning I will quit practicing dentistry. We're quite proud to be able to offer cutting edge high technology dentistry to you.

Cheri Nehl

Cheri grew up in Meadow, SD and worked as a registered nurse prior to helping in the dental office. She and Mike have 3 children. Jason, Jennifer and Joshua live in Sheridan, WY. Jessica and Dan live in Oregon. Matt and Sara live in Lincoln, NE where Matt is pursuing dental college.

Teresa

Teresa, a North Dakota native,has lived in the Black Hills area since 1973, graduating from Spearfish High School, then National College (now NAU) in Rapid City in 1980. Teresa has worked in the dental field since 1980, and has been a dental assistant with Dr. Nehl since 1996. Teresa is certified to perform expanded functions and is also certified in radiography. She has hundreds of hours of continuing education in clinical and practice management studies; most recently attending a Cerec training in Detroit, MI. Teresa resides in Belle Fourche with her husband Brian and daughter Jordan.

Carolyn

Carolyn is a registered Dental Hygienist licensed in the state of South Dakota. She is licensed to administer local anesthesia. Carolyn's primary duties include non-surgical periodontal treatment, placing sealants, taking X-rays and diagnostic photos as well as routing dental cleaning. Carolyn has been a dental hygienist since graduating from Rose State College at OKC in 1983. Carolyn has worked at Dr. Nehl's since 1999. Carolyn lives in Sturgis with her husband K.D., they have two sons.

Barb

Barb moved to the Black Hills from Wall, SD and has worked in dentistry since 1975. She has worked with Dr. Nehl since November of 1988. She attended college at SDSU and worked at her hometown bank for several years before moving to Spearfish, SD. Barb's primary responsibilities are at the front desk but has helped out in other areas of the dental office. She has attended many continuing education courses relating to her job and many other classes which have pertained to the dental field. Barb is certified in CPR and AED. Barb has two children, Tyler who is active duty Army and Lisa who attends college in Colorado.

Marilyn

Marilyn grew up near Red Owl, SD, graduated from Sturgis Brown High and then graduated from Lake Area Vocational Technical Institute in the dental assisting program. Marilyn started working for Dr. Nehl as his dental assistant the day he opened his practice. After 17 years of employment she decided to go to dental hygiene school. Marilyn graduated from Sheridan Dental Hygiene School in May 2005 and rejoined Dr. Nehl's staff in January 2006. Marilyn has lived in Belle Fourche since 1984. She has four children Jenn, Kelsey, Kyle and Jason.

Dawn

Dawn Robinson was born and raised on a farm/ranch in McLaughlin, SD. She acquired an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology and has worked in several Veterinary Clinics in SD, ND and WY. She has also been a radio announcer for a Christian radio station in Mandan, ND. She has owned a home in Belle Fourche since February 2006 and is a proud single mother of a 6 year old girl. Dawn is now attending Western Dakota Tech to become a Dental Assistant, while working for Nehl Dental, Inc.

Danielle

Danielle is originally from Huron, SD. She has four brothers and sisters including a twin sister who lives nearby. She has lived in Belle Fourche for the past 3 years, and has been a dental assistant for the past nine months. She is currently attending the dental assistant apprenticeship program offered at WDT in Rapid City. She has set her goals high and is looking forward to a career in dentistry.
